Bruno led the Royal Knights to consecutive league championships during the 1986-1987 and 1987-1988 seasons.
In his first year, he set a league record for points with 56 goals, 82 assists for 138 points that still stands
today for a rookie. The following season, he broke his own record with 63 goals, 76 assists for 139 points in only
36 games played.
Upon graduating from the Royal Knights, Bruno went on to play professionally in Europe for 15 years, playing in 10
World Championships, 3 Olympics and 2 Spengler Cup tournaments.
Most of his career in Europe was played in Italy, but also included 5 years in Germany and a year in Switzerland.
Bruno was inducted into the Manitoba Hockey Hall of Fame player's category in October 2009.
